The best way to book Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel is through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel advisor.
A Preferred Partner booking adds daily breakfast for two, a $100 hotel credit ($200 in suites), a room upgrade when available and VIP recognition.
Preferred Partner rates equal the official direct booking rate on the Four Seasons website. We don't charge any booking fees, so you get the benefits for free.

The program benefits are the same at every hotel. What changes is what they are worth. This is how each one works at this property.
Full breakfast for two per bedroom, taken at La Véranda, the all-day restaurant with a large terrace under the pines, or through in-room dining. Breakfast is not part of the standard rate here: Four Seasons sells it separately as a Bed and Breakfast offer. Reviewers often single out breakfast on the terrace as a highlight of the stay.
One credit per stay, usable on dining, Le Bar or Le Spa. The credit is USD 100, or USD 200 in suites. At Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat it goes furthest at Club Dauphin, where it covers a poolside lunch of grilled fish and salads, or towards a treatment in one of the spa's garden cabanas.
A one-category upgrade when available at check-in. The step that changes a stay here is from a Superior Pinewood Room, which looks over the gardens, to a Palace Sea-View Room facing the Mediterranean. With only 75 keys, upgrades are scarce in July and August and come more easily in spring and autumn.
Priority for both. Check-in is at 3:00 pm and checkout at noon. Overnight flights from North America land at Nice in the morning, so we ask the hotel to have the room ready on arrival. A late checkout matters here, because most guests want a last morning at Club Dauphin before the drive back to the airport.
A welcome amenity and a VIP note on the reservation. We pass on your preference for sea or garden views, children's names and ages for the Sea Explorers Kids Club, and any tables you want held at Le Cap or a cabana at Club Dauphin.
Preferred Partner benefits apply on top of the hotel's own offers. In 2026 these include Experience More, which adds a spending credit, and Suite Indulgence, which gives a fourth night free in a suite. We check what is available for your dates when we quote.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat has 75 keys: 48 rooms, 24 suites and three villas, set in seven hectares of gardens at the tip of the peninsula. Rooms sit in two areas. The Heritage Building is the original 1908 palace, with views over the sea or the pine groves. Les Terrasses du Cap, the wing formerly called La Résidence, sits in its own gardens and holds the terrace rooms and the suites with private pools. Pierre-Yves Rochon designed the interiors in white marble and pale tones.
The entry room is 27 to 34 sq m (290 to 365 sq ft) with a king bed, looking over the pine groves rather than the sea. It sleeps two adults, or two adults and a child aged three or under in a cot, so it does not suit families with older children.
The Palace Sea-View Room is 30 to 38 sq m (322 to 409 sq ft) in the Heritage Building, with Mediterranean views and, in some rooms, a terrace. It takes a rollaway or a cot, so it sleeps two adults and one child. Ask for a room with a terrace when booking.
On the first floor of Les Terrasses du Cap, the Deluxe Terrace Room is 41 sq m (441 sq ft) with a 9 sq m (97 sq ft) terrace among the greenery. A sofa bed means it sleeps three adults, or two adults and two children, which no Heritage room does.
The Palace Pinewood Suite is 50 to 75 sq m (538 to 807 sq ft) and sleeps three adults. The Palace Sea-View Suite is 55 to 56 sq m (592 to 603 sq ft), faces the sea and sleeps two adults and an infant. A suite booking doubles the Preferred Partner credit to $200.
The Pool Terrace Suite in Les Terrasses du Cap is 82 sq m (883 sq ft) with a 30 sq m (323 sq ft) terrace and a private pool shaded by Aleppo pines. It sleeps two adults and two children, or three adults and one child.
Five suites in the Heritage Building are laid out like apartments. The Panoramic Suite is 85 sq m (915 sq ft) with a 90 sq m (968 sq ft) terrace, and the French Riviera Suite is 100 sq m (1,076 sq ft) plus a 26 sq m (280 sq ft) terrace. The Penthouse has 120 sq m (1,290 sq ft) inside and 110 sq m (1,185 sq ft) of terrace, with a connecting bedroom for six guests.
Villa Clair Soleil has two bedrooms and 203 sq m (2,185 sq ft) inside. Villa Beauchamp, with a separate pavilion, sleeps up to 12 adults in 419 sq m (4,509 sq ft). Villa Rose Pierre has four bedrooms, 550 sq m (5,920 sq ft) inside, about 6,400 sq m of grounds and its own tennis court. Each villa has a full kitchen and a personal attendant.
Occupancy is tight in the Heritage Building: most rooms and the Palace Sea-View Suite sleep two adults and one child or infant only. Families of four should look at the Deluxe Terrace Room, the Pool Terrace Suite, a Signature Suite or two rooms. Children 18 and under stay free in their parents' room, space permitting.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat closes every winter. The 2026 season runs from 6 March to 15 November, and in 2025 the hotel reopened on 1 March. Dates for 2027 have not been announced yet, so we confirm them with the hotel before you book flights. Le Cap keeps a shorter season than the hotel, from 7 April to 24 October in 2026.
Club Dauphin is the hotel's pool club at the water's edge, reached by a glass funicular. Cabanas along the rocks, with a minibar and charging points, are rented by the day and are the first thing to sell out in July and August. Tell us your dates and we ask the hotel to hold one when the room is booked.
The Superior Pinewood Room is the lowest price, but it looks over the trees. For most travellers the Palace Sea-View Room is the better spend, since the view from Nice to Monaco is what the Heritage Building is known for. Families who prefer space to a view should pick Les Terrasses du Cap instead.
Travellers sometimes confuse Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat with Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, which is a different hotel on Cap d'Antibes, west of Nice. The Four Seasons is on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula, east of Nice and about 25 minutes from Monaco.
The hotel holds the French Palace distinction, so the local taxe de séjour is charged at the Palace rate, per adult per night, and children under 18 do not pay it. It is collected by the hotel on top of the room rate. We include it in the total with your quote.
Le Cap serves dinner only, from Tuesday to Saturday, with about 30 seats indoors and 30 outside. Summer weekend tables go first. We request the table when we book the room, and the Grand Cru Table wine dinners led by sommelier Alessandro Nigro Imperiale are worth asking about.
The spa's indoor pool and fitness facilities are for guests aged 16 and over, except from 8:30 to 11:00 am, when children aged 12 and under may swim with an adult. For the rest of the day, Club Dauphin and the Sea Explorers Kids Club are the places for children.
Executive Chef Yoric Tièche has run the kitchens at Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat since 2017 and was named Gault&Millau d'Or 2025 for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. Vegetables and herbs come from the hotel's own kitchen garden in the hills above Villefranche-sur-Mer. There are three restaurants and two bars, plus 24-hour in-room dining.
Le Cap is the hotel's gastronomic restaurant, with a Michelin star and a terrace looking over the gardens to the sea. Tièche reworks Provençal classics with Mediterranean produce, and tasting menus start at about $205. In 2026 Le Cap opens from 7 April to 24 October, Tuesday to Saturday, with dinner from 7:30 pm.
La Véranda serves Mediterranean cooking with an Italian accent from breakfast to dinner, with 150 seats inside and 240 on the terrace. This is where the Preferred Partner breakfast is taken. Sunday Lunch under the pines runs from May to September, at about $185 a person in 2026, and Pastry Chef Pierre-Jean Quinonero's Sweet O'Clock is served from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
The pool club restaurant serves lunch and light afternoon dishes, such as grilled catch of the day, mussels and Provençal salads, with 90 outdoor seats beside the seawater pool. Sunday brunch runs in summer, and in July and August there is a sunset dinner service.
Le Bar is a small room of 12 seats with a 40-seat terrace, serving cocktails before dinner and the Sweet O'Clock pastry tasting in the afternoon. The Club Dauphin Lounge, on the upper terrace above the pool, is the larger bar for daytime drinks by the water.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat has no sand beach of its own. Its seafront is Club Dauphin, a pool club on the rocks below the gardens, with the spa and kids club set in the grounds above.
Club Dauphin has been part of the hotel since 1939. A glass funicular runs down from the gardens to a heated seawater infinity pool, with sun terraces, cabanas, a restaurant and a lounge. Pierre Gruneberg taught swimming here for decades, to guests including Picasso. In 2026 Club Dauphin opens daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm across the hotel's season.
Le Spa has five treatment rooms, including a couple's suite, an indoor pool with a counter-current system, and men's and women's steam rooms and saunas. Three glass cabanas added in the gardens in 2025 hold an outdoor couple's treatment room, a dry floatation bed and a Technogym fitness space with sea views. Treatments use Dr Burgener and Biologique Recherche, and run from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The kids club next to Club Dauphin reopened in 2025 with more than 4,000 sq m (43,000 sq ft) of outdoor play space under the pines: a treetop adventure course, wooden pirate ships, archery and a cinema corner. It takes children aged 4 to 12, and younger children can join with an adult. The spa offers Bonpoint treatments for children.
The hotel has two clay tennis courts, one for general guest use and one at Villa Rose Pierre, with lessons from a coach. Jogging trails run through the grounds, and the Promenade du Cap coastal path starts a few steps from the gate.
The hotel opened in January 1908, and the Rotunda, with its bay windows over the pines and the sea, was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel in 1909. Landscape designer Jean Mus worked on the gardens. Four Seasons took over management in 2015, and the hotel holds the French Palace distinction from Atout France.
Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat is a seasonal hotel, open from early March to mid-November. Within that window the choice is between quiet spring weeks, the full Riviera summer and a warm autumn.
The hotel stands at the tip of the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula, between Nice and Monaco. The concierge arranges transfers by car and by helicopter.
Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is a small peninsula of villas, pine woods and coastal paths. Villefranche-sur-Mer, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Èze and Monaco are all a short drive away.
The Belle Époque villa built for Béatrice de Rothschild sits on the same peninsula, with themed gardens and views over the bays on both sides. It is one of the Riviera's best-known house museums and a short drive from the hotel.
The Promenade du Cap starts close to the hotel and follows the cliffs around the peninsula, with views over the Mediterranean. Wear proper shoes, as parts of the path are rocky.
Villefranche is the old fishing town on the bay just west of the peninsula, with pastel houses, waterfront cafés and a citadel. The hotel's kitchen garden is in the hills above it.
Èze is a medieval village perched above the sea between Cap-Ferrat and Monaco, with an exotic garden at the top and views along the coast.
Monaco, about 25 minutes away, has the Musée Océanographique, a good choice with children. In Nice, about 30 minutes away, the Musée Matisse runs colour and cut-out workshops for families.
