The best way to book Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel advisor.
A Preferred Partner booking adds daily breakfast for two, a $100 hotel credit ($200 in suites), a villa upgrade when available and VIP recognition.
Preferred Partner rates equal the official direct booking rate on the Four Seasons website. We don't charge any booking fees, so you get the benefits for free.
By a Travel Agent with LuxRally, a Forbes-endorsed agency and official Four Seasons Preferred Partner. Facts last verified .

The program benefits are the same at every hotel. What changes is what they are worth. This is how each one works at this property.
Breakfast is not part of the standard room rate at Landaa Giraavaru, so this is the benefit worth most here. It covers two guests per bedroom, either at the buffet in Café Landaa or from the à la carte menu at Blu Beach Club, or through in-villa dining. The resort sells the same breakfast as its own Bed and Breakfast offer, which costs more than the room-only rate. Children under 5 eat free from the children's menus.
One credit per stay, usable at the restaurants, bars or AyurMa. The credit is USD 100, or USD 200 in suites, and we confirm which level your villa carries when we book. For scale, the Manta On Call snorkel trip costs about $190 per person before service charge and tax, so the credit covers about half of one guest's outing.
A one-category upgrade when available at check-in. Over the water, the usual step is from a Water Villa with Pool, Partial Sea View to a Sunrise Water Villa, or from Sunrise to the west-facing Sunset Water Villa. On the beach side, the step is from a Premier Oceanfront Bungalow to a Beach Villa with Pool, which is nearly twice the indoor space.
Priority for both. Check-in is at 2:00 pm and checkout is at noon, and the resort can only confirm day-use villas the day before departure. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, so your seaplane time sets the day. We ask the resort in advance and tell you what it confirms, and the resort stores bags and opens a changing room if the villa is not ready.
A welcome amenity and a VIP note on the reservation. We send the resort your Sunrise or Sunset preference, any celebration and your international flight times, so the seaplane booking matches your arrival.
Preferred Partner benefits apply on top of the resort's own offers. Paradise Twice, which pairs at least three nights here with three at Kuda Huraa, includes the seaplane between the two resorts. Other offers bundle manta safaris, dolphin cruises or AyurMa treatments. We check which offer pays best for your dates when we quote.
Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru has 103 villas, bungalows and suites in 18 categories, and most have a private pool. Sri Lankan architect Murad Ismail designed them with steep thatched roofs and coral walls, and the water villas have a loft reached by a spiral staircase. Indoor space ranges from 77 sq m (829 sq ft) to 800 sq m (8,611 sq ft), plus decks, gardens and beach outside.
The Partial Sea View water villa is 90 sq m (969 sq ft) inside, plus 183 sq m (1,970 sq ft) of deck with a pool, overwater nets and steps into the lagoon. It is the same size as the Sunrise and Sunset villas, with a partial sea view instead of an open one, and it is the cheapest way to sleep over the lagoon.
Both are 90 sq m (969 sq ft) with 183 sq m (1,970 sq ft) outside, a king or two twin beds, a pool and a sea-gazing loft. Sunrise villas face east, and a new sea wall on that side keeps the current away for swimming year-round. Sunset villas face west and cost more. The living area opens straight into the bedroom with no door, so these feel like large junior suites.
The Premier Oceanfront Bungalow is 77 sq m (829 sq ft) plus 91 sq m (980 sq ft) of garden and pool, with direct access to the sea. It is the smallest category at the resort and the cheapest way to have sand under your feet rather than a deck.
The Beach Villa with Pool is 137 sq m (1,474 sq ft) inside and 260 sq m (2,799 sq ft) outside, on the beach. It suits guests who want room to spread out and shade during the day, and it takes a cot or rollaway for a young child.
The Sunrise and Sunset Family Water Villas are 112 sq m (1,206 sq ft) with two sofa beds and sleep up to four adults. On land, the Family Oceanfront Bungalow is 99 sq m (1,066 sq ft) and the Family Beach Villa 164 sq m (1,765 sq ft). Families who want separate bedrooms should look at the two-bedroom options.
The Sunrise and Sunset Two-Bedroom Water Suites are 182 sq m (1,959 sq ft) with 200 sq m (2,153 sq ft) of deck and sleep six adults. The Two-Bedroom Royal Beach Villa is 310 sq m (3,337 sq ft) on 890 sq m (9,580 sq ft) of garden and beach. Three-bedroom water suites and a Three-Bedroom Land and Ocean Suite are also available.
The Landaa Estate reopened in 2025 after a redesign. It has 800 sq m (8,611 sq ft) inside and 2,000 sq m (21,528 sq ft) outside, four pavilions, 80 metres of private beach, a 20-metre lap pool, a rooftop terrace, a children's room and butler service. It sleeps nine adults, or eight adults and six children.
Four Seasons charges no room supplement for children under 12 sharing with their parents, space permitting. Standard villas take three adults, or two adults and two children, and the family categories take four or five. Sunrise or Sunset is a fixed category, but the exact villa within it is a request, so tell us if you want one close to the restaurants or one at the far end of the jetty.
Room rates at Landaa Giraavaru exclude a 10 percent service charge and the Maldives' 17 percent tourism GST, which together add 28.7 percent. The government green tax of $12 per person per night comes on top, with infants under two exempt. The same 28.7 percent applies to the seaplane, the spa and every meal, so we quote you the full total.
Landaa Giraavaru keeps its own clock, one hour ahead of Malé. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, and the last one usually leaves the airport around 3:00 pm Malé time, 4:00 pm on the island. If your international flight lands later, the usual answer is a night at Four Seasons Kuda Huraa, 25 minutes by speedboat from the airport, then the seaplane next morning.
The seaplane is booked through the resort and paid separately. In 2026 the resort's own 10-seat Flying Boxfish costs about $530 per adult each way, or about $680 with service charge and GST, and about $620 before charges from 21 December to 10 January. A Trans Maldivian Airways seat is about $460, which can mean stops at other resorts, and the eight-seat Flying Triggerfish is about $790. Each guest has 20 kg of checked bags and 5 kg in the cabin, and extra weight costs about $5 a kilo.
The resort publishes Hot Dates, the windows when mantas are most likely to gather at Hanifaru Bay, based on more than 20 years of records. The 2026 windows ran from mid-May to late November, roughly one in each fortnight. Villas and seaplane seats go first around these dates, so book early if mantas are the reason for the trip, and sign up for Manta On Call on arrival.
Four Seasons has two resorts in the Maldives, and people mix them up. Landaa Giraavaru is the larger one, in Baa Atoll by seaplane, with the manta programme, AyurMa and the Marine Discovery Centre. Kuda Huraa is 25 minutes from the airport by speedboat in North Malé Atoll and is known for surfing. The Paradise Twice offer splits a stay between them, with at least three nights at each and the seaplane between them included.
Four Seasons runs The Island Café, its own lounge in the seaplane terminal at Velana International Airport, free for Landaa Giraavaru guests. It has a balcony, food, a children's play area and a telescope for watching seaplanes, which makes a wait between flights easy.
Blu Beach Club holds a four-course lobster dinner on Tuesdays, and Al Barakat serves a mezze night on Thursdays. Café Landaa's ocean-harvest dinner is on Sundays. These are the nights that fill up, so tell us your dates and we will reserve them before you arrive.
Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru has four restaurants and four bars, plus in-villa dining around the clock. The kitchens cover Italian, Eastern Mediterranean, Asian and Indian cooking and grilled seafood, which matters on an island where you eat every meal for a week or more.
Blu Beach Club sits on Blu Beach, a kilometre of white sand with a sand spit, next to the infinity-edge Blu pool. Lunch is Neapolitan pizza and gelato by the pool, and the dinner menu is by Michelin-distinguished chef Nino Di Costanzo. Blu also serves an à la carte breakfast, which counts towards the Preferred Partner breakfast, and a four-course lobster dinner every Tuesday.
Café Landaa fills three thatched pavilions, with a tandoor and curry kitchen and a teppanyaki counter set in a water garden. This is where the breakfast buffet is served. In the evening the menu turns to Asian and Maldivian dishes, with an ocean-harvest dinner on Sundays.
Al Barakat is the overwater restaurant for Levantine cooking, with a menu created with Aline Kamakian of the Armenian restaurant Mayrig in Beirut. It opens for dinner, with a mezze night on Thursdays. The Shisha Bar on the level below is open to the sea and serves cocktails, Turkish coffee and shisha before dinner.
Fuego Grill is a small dinner restaurant on the beach, serving the daily catch, prime-cut meats, salads and a few Asian dishes. It has 40 seats, all outdoors, so book ahead.
Seabar is the overwater bar for cocktails and small plates, with lemon sharks and reef fish below. Blu Bar is the beach bar for a drink before dinner at Blu, and the Poolside Bar serves salads, sandwiches and drinks through the day by the main pool.
In-villa dining runs 24 hours from an extensive menu. Breakfast in the villa counts towards the Preferred Partner breakfast.
Landaa Giraavaru sits inside the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and the resort is built around the reef. Snorkelling gear, kayaks, catamaran sailing and windsurfing are complimentary, as are daily yoga classes and an AyurMa consultation.
AyurMa is the resort's wellness centre, built on Ayurveda, yoga therapy, wellness and what it calls planetary wellbeing, with a team of Ayurvedic doctors, naturopaths and yoga therapists trained at S-VYASA in India. Every guest gets a complimentary consultation. Paid options run from massages to PraMā, a 120-minute health screening, and residential programmes of 7, 14 or 21 nights including Panchakarma. AyurMa is open daily from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
The Marine Discovery Centre is run by resident marine biologists. Guests can visit the turtle rehabilitation centre, join the Reefscapers coral programme and see marine life in the hologram room. Landaa Giraavaru is the main base for the Maldives Manta Conservation Programme with the Manta Trust, which recorded 4,265 reef manta sightings in the 2025 season.
Manta On Call runs during the manta season from May to December. Guests sign up, the resort calls them wherever they are when mantas are spotted, and a speedboat takes them to snorkel with a Manta Trust guide. It costs about $190 per person before service charge and tax.
Landaa Giraavaru has four shared pools: the main infinity pool, a seawater pool, the Blu pool at the beach club and a shallow children's pool in the kids' club.
The dive centre is a PADI Five-Star centre with courses up to instructor level, on reefs and thilas across Baa Atoll. The water sports centre on Blu Beach adds wakeboarding behind a MasterCraft boat and jetpacks, and the recreation team runs dolphin cruises, turtle safaris and fishing trips. There is also a padel court.
The MICHELIN Guide gives Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru one MICHELIN Key. In October 2026 the resort and Kuda Huraa received the HICAP Sustainable Hotel Award for their conservation and research work.
The Maldives is warm all year, and Landaa Giraavaru's seasons are set as much by the mantas as by the weather. The choice is between the drier months and the manta season.
Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is on its own island in Baa Atoll, north-west of Malé. You fly into Velana International Airport in Malé and take a seaplane from there. Guests book their own international flights, and the resort books the seaplane.
Days at Landaa Giraavaru are spent on the water. The best outings are to the reefs and protected sites of Baa Atoll.
Hanifaru Bay is a short speedboat ride from the resort and one of the best-known manta feeding sites in the world. In season, mantas gather there to feed on plankton, sometimes with whale sharks.
UNESCO designated Baa Atoll a Biosphere Reserve in 2011 for its coral reefs and marine life. The resort's dive centre and recreation team run trips to its reefs and thilas, with turtles common at dawn and dolphins at dusk.
Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah is nearby in Baa Atoll, a whole island with its own staff, dive centre, spa and yacht. It is booked as one property, for groups who want an island to themselves.
The best way to book Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel advisor. The advisor books the official Four Seasons rate, with no booking fees, and the reservation adds daily breakfast for two, a $100 hotel credit and upgrade priority.
Daily breakfast for two per bedroom at Café Landaa, Blu Beach Club or through in-villa dining, a $100 hotel credit per stay ($200 in suites), a one-category upgrade when available at check-in, priority for early check-in and late checkout, and a welcome amenity with VIP recognition. The benefits combine with the resort's own offers, such as Paradise Twice.
Yes. Four Seasons Preferred Partner is Four Seasons' own program for invited travel advisors. The benefits are confirmed by the resort on the reservation, not added by a third party, and the rate is the official rate Four Seasons publishes.
A Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisor and Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR) both add breakfast for two, a $100 credit and upgrade priority at Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. FHR also guarantees 4:00 pm checkout, but needs an Amex Platinum or Centurion card and a booking through Amex Travel, and a late checkout only helps if a seaplane still flies that afternoon. Preferred Partner needs no card, doubles the credit to $200 in suites and adds VIP recognition. Booking direct at fourseasons.com costs the same and adds none of these, because Four Seasons has no points programme. One booking can carry only one of the two benefit packages.
In 2026 the Four Seasons Flying Boxfish seaplane costs about $530 per adult each way, or about $620 from 21 December to 10 January, and children under 12 pay half. The flight from Malé takes 35 to 40 minutes.
Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru adds a 10 percent service charge and the Maldives' 17 percent tourism GST, 28.7 percent combined, to the room rate.
