The program benefits are the same at every hotel. What changes is what they are worth. This is how each one works at this property.
Breakfast is served at Taman Wantilan, the resort's main restaurant, where specialty chefs cook at open show kitchens above the bay, or through in-villa dining. It covers two guests per bedroom, so a two-bedroom villa gets breakfast for four. The resort's own Stay Longer and Bali, Twice the Magic offers already include breakfast; if you book one of those, we tell you so and compare it with a room-only rate plus the Preferred Partner benefits.
One credit per stay, in US dollars, for dining and the Healing Village Spa. It is USD 100, or USD 200 in suite categories, and we confirm which applies to your villa when we book. The credit goes a long way at Jala's Balinese dinner or a cocktail class at TELU, which starts at about $40 a person.
A one-category upgrade when available at check-in. The one-bedroom villas are all close in size, 180 to 200 sq m (1,938 to 2,153 sq ft) including the garden and pool, so an upgrade here mostly buys a view: from a Garden Pool Villa in the middle rows, to a Jimbaran Bay or Deluxe Pool Villa with a partial ocean view, to an Ocean-View Pool Villa on the front row or high on the hill.
Priority for both. Check-in is at 3:00 pm and checkout at noon. The airport is only 20 minutes away, so if your flight home leaves in the evening, a later checkout means a full last day by the pool rather than hours in the lobby. We ask in advance and tell you what the resort confirms.
A welcome amenity and a VIP note on the reservation. We pass on your flight times for the airport pick-up, whether you prefer an ocean view or a quieter garden villa, and any honeymoon or anniversary.
Preferred Partner benefits apply on top of the resort's own offers. For stays to March 2028 these include Stay Longer, with a fourth night free for every three paid nights; Experience More, with a spending credit of USD 100 in villas and USD 150 in specialty villas; Advance Purchase, with up to 20 percent off; and Bali, Twice the Magic, a combined stay with Four Seasons Sayan. We check which suits your dates when we quote.
Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay has 156 villas: 147 villas and nine residence villas. There are no standard rooms. Each villa is a set of thatched pavilions for sleeping, bathing and living inside a stone-walled garden courtyard with a private plunge pool, an outdoor shower and an oversized vintage bathtub. The villas terrace down the hillside towards the bay, so the row you are in decides the view. Sizes below include the garden and pool.
The Garden Pool Villa is 180 sq m (1,938 sq ft), with a king or two twin beds, set in the middle rows among the gardens. It looks over its own garden rather than the sea. It sleeps three adults, or two adults and one child.
The Jimbaran Bay Pool Villa is 180 sq m (1,938 sq ft) and the Deluxe Pool Villa 185 sq m (1,991 sq ft), with an enlarged bedroom. Both are in the middle rows, with partial ocean views from the sundeck, and take a king or two twin beds.
The Ocean-View Pool Villa is 190 sq m (2,045 sq ft) and is the one-bedroom villa to book for the view. These villas sit either on the oceanfront or high on the hillside, so tell us which you prefer: lower is closer to the beach, higher has the wider view.
The Family Pool Villa is 200 sq m (2,153 sq ft), with a separate children's room beside the main king bedroom and a partial sea view. It sits high on the hillside and takes two adults and two children under 12.
Three two-bedroom villas share the same 351 sq m (3,778 sq ft) layout: two bedrooms either side of an open-air living and dining pavilion. The Garden version is high on the hillside, the Jimbaran Bay version faces partly towards the sea, and the Ocean-View version is on the front row closest to the ocean, with an infinity pool and air-conditioned living room. Each sleeps six adults, or four adults and two children.
The Royal Two-Bedroom Pool Villa is 432 sq m (4,650 sq ft) on the front corner at the water's edge, with a 56 sq m (597 sq ft) kidney-shaped infinity pool, an air-conditioned living pavilion with a full kitchen and an eight-seat dining bale. It is booked by phone with the resort, which we do for you.
The Imperial Three-Bedroom Pool Villa is 843 sq m (9,074 sq ft) over two levels, on the front corner closest to the ocean. It has a 68 sq m (732 sq ft) pool, a chef's kitchen, its own gym and three marble bathrooms, and sleeps nine adults. The resort's Imperial Villa package adds free meals for children aged four and under, half-price meals for ages five to 12 and a personal attendant 12 hours a day.
Children under 12 count as children for occupancy. Each bedroom takes one rollaway or one cot, and the resort provides baby equipment free of charge. The nine residence villas are rented separately through the resort's residence programme.
Four Seasons has two resorts in Bali, run by one general manager, and they are easy to confuse. Jimbaran Bay is the beach resort, on the south-west coast 20 minutes from the airport, with sunset views over the bay. Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is in the Ayung River valley near Ubud, about 75 minutes inland by car, surrounded by rainforest and rice fields. Many travellers split their stay between the two, with Sayan for culture and Jimbaran Bay for the beach.
The Bali, Twice the Magic offer gives a free third night for every two consecutive paid nights at each resort, daily breakfast for two per bedroom and a one-way car between the resorts. It needs at least three nights at each resort, six in total, and runs for selected dates to 31 March 2028. We book both halves together so the transfer and the benefits line up.
The villas step down the hillside towards the bay. The front-row villas are closest to the ocean and have the best views; the middle rows are among the gardens; and the Family and Garden Two-Bedroom villas sit high on the hill. Buggies run around the resort and down to Coconut Grove on the beach, but expect steps between the pavilions and paths. Tell us if anyone in your party would rather avoid stairs.
Room rates and bills are subject to a service charge and government tax on top of the quoted rate, which together come to about 21 percent at the Four Seasons resorts in Bali. The resort quotes rates in Indonesian rupiah. Bali also charges international visitors a tourist levy of IDR 150,000, about $9 per person, paid online before travel or on arrival. We give you the full total with your quote.
Jala, the Balinese restaurant, seats about 30 at its nightly dinner, and TELU, the cocktail bar, seats about 40 and opens from Wednesday to Sunday only. The resort also runs evening events at Coconut Grove, such as an outdoor cinema, which outside guests can book too. Give us your dates and we reserve them with your villa.
Nyepi, the Balinese New Year, is a day of silence across the island, usually in March, when no one may travel and the airport closes. Guests stay inside the resort, which holds a temple ceremony and cultural classes and has served complimentary dinner to in-house guests on Nyepi evening in past years. Check the date before booking flights, and avoid arriving or leaving that day.
The resort has more than 300 Hindu shrines, one of them dating from the 15th century, and a resident priest, Ajik Ngurah. Shrine and temple tours, Balinese blessings and dance lessons are complimentary. The priest can also arrange access inside Goa Gong, a ninth-century cave temple about 20 minutes away by car.
Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay has four restaurants, a cocktail bar and in-villa dining around the clock. Benjamin Halat became executive chef in May 2026, and David Peduzzi is executive pastry chef. The resort says 95 percent of its fruit, vegetables, fish and seafood is sourced locally, much of the fish from Jimbaran's own market.
Taman Wantilan is the main restaurant, with 148 seats and ocean views, where specialty chefs cook Asian and Western dishes at live stations and bring made-to-order plates to the table. It serves breakfast, which is where the Preferred Partner breakfast is taken, and dinner.
Sundara sits at the water's edge beside a long infinity pool, inspired by Jimbaran's beach barbecues: every dish, even dessert, is roasted, grilled or smoked. It serves a lighter beach club menu from 11:00 am, dinner from 6:00 to 10:00 pm and cocktails until 1:00 am, and the pool is open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. The Pink Brunch runs on Sundays from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, from IDR 1,250,000 (about $70) per adult. Chef David Gavin hosts a seafood chef's table on Thursdays. Sundara holds a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2024 and 2025.
Jala serves an à la carte Balinese dinner nightly from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, with about 30 seats and the cooks at work in view. The seafood menu draws on the Jimbaran fish market: fish cooked pepes-style in banana leaf, grilled prawns in Balinese spices and jumbo prawns cooked in bamboo. The same team runs the Jala Cooking Academy, with classes from about $115 a person.
Alu is a 32-seat poolside café open for lunch from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a menu created with a nutritionist: Buddha bowls, poke, street food and sharing platters, with views over the bay.
TELU opened in 2023 in an unused corner of the resort, built from furniture and materials salvaged from past renovations, and seats about 40. Its name is Balinese for three, and the menu comes in three series of cocktails and mocktails, each supporting a Balinese charity. It is open Wednesday to Sunday from 5:00 pm to midnight, and runs arak tastings and cocktail classes with herbs from its garden.
In-villa dining serves Western and Balinese dishes at any hour. The resort also sets up floating breakfasts in your villa pool, from about $145, and private dinners in your villa's open-air pavilion.
The resort runs from the spa and main pool on the upper slopes down to Coconut Grove, its beach retreat on the sand. Non-motorised water sports, the fitness centre, Hatha yoga, meditation, and the shrine and art tours are complimentary.
The Healing Village Spa is a two-storey building of more than 2,000 sq m (21,500 sq ft) that appears to float over water, with 10 treatment suites and a spa bale. Signature treatments include the Celestial Light Ritual and the Baru Detox, and the spa has an Illume Room, where treatments use light, colour and sound on a bed of crushed quartz, and an eco-Vichy shower. The Longevity Garden behind the spa is a space for self-guided cleansing rituals. Treatments run from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, and the Ferretti hair salon from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
There are three pools besides the villas' own. The main pool is a two-level, 32-metre (105-foot) pool with a waterfall, 35 metres (115 feet) above the sea. Sundara's infinity pool is down at the beach, and there is a separate family pool. Each villa has its own plunge pool.
The resort sits at one end of Jimbaran's 4.8 km (3-mile) crescent of sand, on a calm bay. Coconut Grove is its private beach retreat, with kayaking, catamaran sailing, bodyboarding and beach games at no charge. Tropicsurf runs surf lessons in the bay and helicopter surf trips to G-Land, on Java.
The fitness centre is staffed from 6:30 am to 9:00 pm and open around the clock on request, with hot and cold plunge pools, a sauna and a steam room in the changing rooms. Classes are held at an oceanfront yoga bale and in yoga and Pilates studios, including AntiGravity yoga; Hatha yoga and Sushumna meditation are free. There is one hard tennis court, with free racquets and balls and paid lessons.
Umah Rare, meaning house of children, is the plastic-free kids' club, open daily from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm with a programme built around Balinese culture and nature, such as dance and canang-making classes. It is aimed at children from four, and younger children can join with a parent or babysitter. Children eat free at the restaurants until their fifth birthday.
