The best way to book Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is through a Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel advisor.
A Preferred Partner booking adds daily breakfast for two, a $100 hotel credit ($200 in suites), a room upgrade when available and VIP recognition.
Preferred Partner rates equal the official direct booking rate on the Four Seasons website. We don't charge any booking fees, so you get the benefits for free.
By a Travel Agent with LuxRally, a Forbes-endorsed agency and official Four Seasons Preferred Partner. Facts last verified .

The program benefits are the same at every hotel. What changes is what they are worth. This is how each one works at this property.
Full breakfast for two per bedroom, taken in the restaurant in Palazzo della Gherardesca, with a terrace over the garden in warm weather, or through in-room dining, which serves breakfast from 6:00 to 11:30 am. Breakfast is not part of the standard room rate at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze; the hotel sells it as a separate Bed and Breakfast rate. Only the Royal Suite includes it.
One credit per stay, for the restaurants and bars or The Spa. The credit is USD 100, or USD 200 in suites. It covers an aperitivo for two at the Atrium Bar with change to spare, or goes towards a treatment at the spa in the garden or dinner at Il Palagio.
A one-category upgrade when available at check-in. The step that matters here is from a Superior or Deluxe Room, which looks over the surrounding streets or an inner courtyard, to a king-bedded Premier or Four Seasons Room facing the Giardino della Gherardesca. With Palazzo del Nero closed until April 2027, all 85 open rooms are in one building, so we put the garden request on the booking early.
Priority for both. Check-in at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is at 3:00 pm and checkout at noon. Travellers arriving on an overnight flight or an early train get the most from an early room. If it isn't ready, the hotel stores bags and offers the fitness centre's locker and shower facilities.
A welcome amenity and a VIP note on the reservation. We send the hotel your garden or Duomo-view preference, your car's licence plate if you are driving into the ZTL, and any museum or dinner bookings you want the concierge to make.
Preferred Partner benefits can apply on top of the hotel's own offers. In 2026 Four Seasons Hotel Firenze publishes Advance Purchase, up to 20 percent off, Florence Escape, 15 percent off, and Experience More, a spending credit of EUR 100 in rooms or EUR 200 in suites. Terms differ by offer, so we check which ones combine for your dates when we quote.
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze has 121 rooms and suites, 76 rooms and 45 suites, decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon. They are split between Palazzo della Gherardesca, built in 1473 for Bartolomeo Scala, and Palazzo del Nero, a 16th-century palazzo across the garden that later became a convent and holds 36 rooms. No two rooms are the same size, and many suites keep their original frescoes, coffered ceilings and painted floors. The view decides much of the price: the garden, the Duomo and the rooftops, or the streets and courtyards around the palazzo.
The Superior Room is 32 to 45 sq m (339 to 487 sq ft), with a king bed and a full marble bathroom. It looks over the neighbouring streets and houses or an inner courtyard, and sleeps two adults, or one adult and a child, with no space for an extra bed.
The Premier Room is 31 to 51 sq m (336 to 553 sq ft) and the Four Seasons Room 40 to 59 sq m (427 to 634 sq ft). In both categories the king-bedded rooms face the hotel garden, while the twin-bedded versions look over nearby buildings, the streets or a courtyard. The Four Seasons Room has a sitting area and takes a rollaway for a third guest.
The three Gallery Suites, Granducato, San Gallo and Volterrano, are 58 to 62 sq m (624 to 668 sq ft) in Palazzo della Gherardesca. Granducato keeps its 19th-century leather wall coverings, San Gallo a white-and-gold coffered ceiling and Volterrano 19th-century Chinese silk wallpaper with exotic birds. A suite booking doubles the Preferred Partner credit to $200.
The Renaissance Suite is 77 to 91 sq m (824 to 984 sq ft) with a king bed and room for a rollaway or a cot. It is one of the eight historical suites, furnished with period pieces under painted ceilings.
This bi-level suite on the third floor of Palazzo della Gherardesca is 97 sq m (1,048 sq ft), with two living rooms, two marble bathrooms and a panoramic window upstairs facing the Duomo and the rooftops. It sleeps three adults and a child aged 10 or under, which makes it a strong choice for a small family.
The Royal Suite is 234 sq m (2,518 sq ft) on the main floor of Palazzo della Gherardesca, the oldest part of the building. It has 17th-century frescoes in the hallway, a Neapolitan majolica floor by Ignazio Chiaiese, a windowed gallery and a dining table for eight. Breakfast for two and a round-trip transfer from Florence airport or station are included, and it is booked by phone.
Palazzo del Nero, with its 36 rooms, its Presidential Suite and the restaurants Onde and Bar Berni, is closed for enhancement works until 31 March 2027, so stays before then are in Palazzo della Gherardesca. The Garden Suite, a former lemon house beside Palazzo del Nero with a seasonal plunge pool, sits in that part of the estate; ask us before you plan around it. Cots are free for children aged 3 and under, and extra beds are free for children aged 3 to 18. An extra bed for an adult costs about $130 a night. Multi-bedroom suites of up to 372 sq m (4,004 sq ft) are put together from connecting rooms for families and groups.
The hotel is two buildings at either end of the Giardino della Gherardesca. Palazzo della Gherardesca is the main palace, with reception, Il Palagio, the Atrium Bar and the frescoed suites. Palazzo del Nero, which earlier guests may remember as the Conventino, reopened after renovation in 2024 with its own reception and 36 rooms, but it is closed again for works until 31 March 2027. The pool, spa and garden stay open. Villa La Vedetta, above the city near Piazzale Michelangelo, is an unrelated hotel.
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze charges no resort fee. Florence charges an imposta di soggiorno of EUR 8, about $9, per person per night at five-star hotels, for the first seven consecutive nights of a stay. Children under 12 do not pay it. The hotel collects it at checkout, and we include it in the total with your quote.
Borgo Pinti is inside Florence's ZTL, the limited traffic zone that cameras enforce at its entry points. The hotel registers your licence plate on arrival so the entry is authorised, and valets the car on site for a charge. Drive straight to the hotel and do not detour through other streets of the centre, which the registration does not cover. We send the hotel your plate number ahead of time.
The Accademia, with Michelangelo's David, is a 12-minute walk from the hotel and the Uffizi about 18 minutes. Both sell timed-entry tickets that run out weeks ahead in spring and summer, and both close on Mondays. The concierge books priority entry and private guides for all the city museums, so send us your dates with the room booking.
Most guests come for the 11-acre garden, but in several categories only some rooms face it. In the Premier and Four Seasons Room categories the king-bedded rooms look over the garden and the twins face the streets or a courtyard. Tell us your bed preference and we ask for garden view on the reservation.
Il Palagio serves dinner from Monday to Saturday, 7:00 to 10:00 pm, and the tasting menu is served to the whole table, ordered by 9:30 pm. On Sundays the same rooms host the hotel's brunch buffet from 12:30 to 3:00 pm, which locals book for family lunches. Reserve both early in spring and autumn.
Children under 18 stay free in their parents' room, and cots are complimentary. The Pio Seasons kids club runs in summer only, until 31 August, with water games and mini golf in the garden; outside summer the concierge arranges babysitting. Gelato is made in the hotel every day, and Al Fresco serves pizza by the pool in the warm months.
With Palazzo del Nero closed until spring 2027, dining at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze centres on Palazzo della Gherardesca and the garden. Executive Chef Paolo Lavezzini, from Emilia-Romagna, has led the kitchens since 2021, after ten years at the restaurant Neto in Brazil. In-room dining runs 24 hours.
Il Palagio holds one star in the MICHELIN Guide 2026, two Forchette from Gambero Rosso and two Cappelli from L'Espresso. Michelin notes three tasting menus, one vegetarian, as well as à la carte, served in rooms of marble and Murano chandeliers. Dinner moves to a terrace over the garden in the warmer months. The Sunday brunch buffet is held here too.
The Atrium Bar is a sky-lit lounge in the 15th-century palazzo, with 40 seats inside and 40 outside. The bar is open from 9:00 am to 12:30 am, and bartender Edoardo, at the hotel since 2008, mixes negronis from a drinks trolley. Afternoon tea is served from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and needs 48 hours' notice.
Al Fresco is the seasonal trattoria under the trees by the pool, serving Josper-grilled meat and fish and trattoria dishes at lunch, from noon to 3:00 pm. In the evening it adds pizzas cooked outdoors. The Pool Tree Bar serves cocktails alongside.
Onde, a seafood osteria with DJ sets, and Bar Berni, a vermouth bar named after Bernardo del Nero, opened in Palazzo del Nero in 2024. Both are closed from 10 June 2026 to 31 March 2027 while the building is worked on.
The Giardino della Gherardesca, about 4.5 hectares (11 acres), is one of the largest private gardens in Florence and was closed to the public for centuries. It holds a 19th-century Ionic temple, an 18th-century grotto arch, a Viennese-style Kaffeehaus and a weeping beech used for private dinners. The pool, the spa and the gym are all in the garden.
The outdoor pool, about 28 metres (91 feet) long according to Forbes Travel Guide, opens in summer from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, with sun loungers, private cabanas and drinks service. The outdoor hot tub is heated and open all year, also from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Spa has ten treatment rooms in a building in the garden and uses products from Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, the Florentine pharmacy, for its signature Renaissance Flowers treatment. The Grand Spa Suite for couples has floor-to-ceiling windows onto a private garden and a tub cut from one block of pietra serena. The Spa is open from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The 205 sq m (2,206 sq ft) gym stands where an 18th-century crayfish pond once was, with Technogym equipment, separate men's and women's sauna and steam rooms, and an ice fountain. It is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, and yoga moves outdoors into the garden in spring and summer.
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze holds three MICHELIN Keys and a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating. It was ranked number 12 on The World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 list, its fourth year on the list, after number 9 in 2025.
Florence is busy most of the year, and the hotel's garden and pool change what each season offers. The choice is between spring blossom, summer heat with the pool open, autumn harvest and quieter winter rates.
Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is on Borgo Pinti, in the north-east of the historic centre, about 15 minutes' walk from the Duomo. Florence's own airport is closest, and Pisa has more international flights.
Borgo Pinti runs from the hotel towards the cathedral, so most of the historic centre is a 10- to 20-minute walk. The concierge books museums, guides and day trips into Tuscany.
Michelangelo's David is at the Galleria dell'Accademia, a 12-minute walk. Book a timed ticket in advance; it is closed on Mondays.
The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, with Brunelleschi's dome, is about 15 minutes' walk. The Basilica of Santa Croce, where Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli are buried, is about the same distance to the south.
Piazza della Signoria and the Palazzo Vecchio are 15 minutes away on foot, the Uffizi Gallery about 18 and the Ponte Vecchio about 20. Combine them in one morning with a reserved Uffizi entry.
The Museo Galileo, with interactive science displays, is about 1.2 km away, and La Specola natural history museum about 2 km. The Stibbert Museum, full of armour, and a boat ride on the Arno with the Renaioli boatmen suit families too.
The concierge arranges private drivers and wine tours to Chianti, Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca and the Val d'Orcia, and car hire for those who want to drive. Golf is about 30 minutes away.

Preferred Partner needs no card, doubles the credit to $200 in suites and adds VIP recognition. Booking direct at fourseasons.com costs the same and adds none of these, because Four Seasons has no points programme. One booking can carry only one of the two benefit packages.
